Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with improperly positioned jaws and teeth.

Orthodontist are dentists who specialise in the area of correcting improperly position jaws and teeth through the use of metal braces, ceramic braces, lingual braces and damon braces. They also uses Invisalign, a series of clear and removable teeth aligners as a popular alternative to traditional metal dental braces.

If you have a set of crooked teeth, there is a higher possibility of food getting stuck in between them. This is because your regular toothbrush will not be able to thoroughly clean your teeth. At times, crooked teeth can also be less aesthetically-pleasing, possibly affecting a person’s self-confidence.
